The last couple of days have been like a pre-marathon carbo-loading regime after an extended day in the desert. Thai food, fish cakes, Thai gravies, pineapple, blueberries, even a couple of scoops of ice cream. And it feels great. Still managed to lose a bit of weight too. I've become convinced over the years through monitoring of my diet and others' that selective rotational fasting is a boon to sustained weight loss. If you eat a diet of largely carbohydrates, your body becomes efficient at processing carbohydrates. If you pursue a ketogenic diet, your body eventually becomes increasingly efficient at that too. The modern processed food diet has people's endocrine systems accustomed to refined carbohydrates in nigh infinite quantities, and that's the typical problem, but even if you cut all those out, your metabolism will become increasingly efficient at getting more out of less over time.
