Forgot to take a pic 🤦‍♀️. Ramen for the kids. Spring break and wanting to make a pint with the 13 yo. 3000+ kcal for her today and she’s sat on her butt. Wonders where that extra 6-7# came from the last 6 weeks. Well hmmm.... surely it can’t be the 800+ kcal in ramen or the 1000 of Mac and cheese. Probably not the 1500 kcal in brownies or the past and gravy for snack. Hmm I bet it was that one silly apple she ate!! Damn Apple!! 😝 Tomorrow she starts tracking macros a bit and activity. Next week I’ll help her track accurately for a day or two. She’s athletic so 3000 kcal during a school day with her 2-3 hours of athletics, PE and practice would probably be fine but not on lay around days. Not a lick of meat today and very little protein for that amount of calories. I almost cried when I was pointing out the protein and she said ‘probably from that little bit of cheese in the Mac and cheese’. She does listen! Never thought she would ‘get it’ and such but she’s starting to.

Hubby got home early so my plans were altered. I still kept to them somewhat. Ramen for kids and kicked them out lol. Steak, baked potato, tea with Splenda and candle light for dinner 😉. I had a salad and he had 1/2 an avocado and baby tomatoes (yuk). He actually talked to me after he ate, he had eaten slower like I’ve been asking, and didn’t rush away to the tv or his phone.

Lately I’ve not liked the hubby much. I missed the fiancé and newlywed hubby. We had a talk last weekend and BAM, I have my man back! So.... he got the food he loves and I got the time I love. Win win!

So many meals this week are ones he likes. I have another week full of them. Not looking forward to hamburger helper lol. Can’t wait until the tuna and mac, tuna salad and pizza days! Will be interesting to log some of it but oh well! I’ll do my best and not worry as long as we get that alone time to just sit and talk! Funny part... 4 yr old snuck in and stared at my plate. Hubby tried to act mad and get her to leave and she wouldn’t. I hugged her and asked what’s wrong. ‘I’m hungry”. “That looks good”. (Pitiful face). She got a few bites of my potato and I told her I’d get her later for more. She choose steak over avocado then realized we had ramen left. A full bowl of ramen later and she was full and ready for bed. I think she felt left out and would’ve eaten more just to have me sitting with her for a candlelit dinner lol. Such a sweety!
