Hahaha!! Not to laught but you are talking to the queen of constipation!! I've started taking 4 fibre supplements in the am with at least 8oz water and 1T of physillium husks in a shake in the afternoon followed by more water. Make sure you are drinking at least 2 litres of water a day. You may want to get some acidophilus (probiotics) and a fish oil supplement as well. Good Luck!!

Yes, it's normal. Listen to Keri! She's heard it all from us too. :) You have to do a pre-emptive strike and do eat ALL the alotted veggies. I usually allow myself more than 3 cups veggies if I stay within my carb count. I also take Colace (stool softener).

To get relief from a bout of constipation you may want to try Miralax. It isn't harsh and works by bringing more water into the bowel, which helps alot. It usually takes a couple of days to work and does not cause any cramping or other nasty side effects. The suggestions above are great to keep things moving, so to speak!

Welcome to the Constipated Atkin Inductioners club! Everyone goes through this awkward phase of not being able to go to the bathroom. It will come to pass...literally! Lori had a product she thought was good that you might want to try. Its called Chocolate Smooth Move and it is a Senna based laxative tea. I have seen it in Krogers supermarkets in the organic/health food section. I have also purchased it but havent had to use it yet..thankfully!
