I jiggled - er, jogged - 2.38 miles this morning, which took 35 minutes and 10 seconds. According to the Greattrainer app that I have on my blackberry, I burned 236 calories. Afterward, I did 75 crunches and 10 push ups. And now I am absolutely pooped. I was thinking about going for a swim, but I'm far too tired for that. Last night, I didn't sleep at all. I just rested and simply couldn't drift off into dreamland. I'm not sure how good of an idea it was for me to exercise with no sleep at all, but I think it was worth it. I needed to get started. It's been so long since I've jogged. At my best, I used to be able to jog 6 miles at once and it would only take an hour and a half. Now 2 miles is a struggle. I guess that's what happens when you let yourself go. When I was out this morning, I could literally see my shadow jiggling; possibly both the most encouraging and discouraging thing I have ever seen. I'm not going to be too hard on myself, though. I can't expect to exercise the same way I did when I was 120. I need to take baby steps, and before I know it I'll be back at my lowest weight. I can do it :) And now I'm going to pass out.
