Tips for ladies, how to keep your skin smooth and cellulite-free or at least how to make it look (and feel about it) better.
First, let's be realistic, it's not possible to get rid of it 100% for most women. It's a normal and natural attribute of a woman and it depends on:
-age
-genetics
-gender, obviously (hormones, baby... estrogen)
-inflammation
-low collagen
-poor lymphatic drainage
-tissue quality aka elasticity
and obviously higher body fat levels.
Solutions in short:
- maintaining a healthy weight
- taking care of your body
No magic anti-cellulite lotion will help except emptying your wallet.
NO QUICK FIXES.
What does work? Doing this consistently for YEARS, I'm sharing my own experience.
Yes, I've been doing this for a long time and, actually, it's never late to start:
- losing extra pounds (BMI does not always work but you can start with this) and keep healthy levels of body fat
- lifting weights and by that, I mean heavy weights (will tone your skin, cardio won't help here, sorry)
- hydration (get enough water. WATER, not SODA, bubbles are not good here)
- lower carbs, higher fats (this is also the diet recommended for women suffering from hormonal disorders)
- eat grass-fed & organic when you can and limit processed foods and chemicals around
- sauna/hammam (gets those toxins out)
- medical massage cure (oh boy it hurts, helps drainage)
- collagen (improves the quality of your skin) => bone broth (that said, I'm lazy, I get it as a supplement)
- scrub your skin at least once a week and moisturise every day.
Unless you just don't care about all this shit, and it's fine too. But if you want a better-looking skin, it definitely will :) And honestly, it's not as complicated as it may seem.
New favourite exercise for legs/glutes: leg extension 60lbs 20x3. KILLER, somehow I discovered I had knee muscles, I love this soreness.
Last picture: love when the gym is empty.
