Okay...I know that it seems a little crazy to constantly post journal entries, but I am thinking that this will help to motivate me when I start to get off track.

Today's personal challenge...KICK THE POP HABIT!!!

I have done this before...and it is more than hard. I know that I will go through withdraws, I know that I will crave, I know that it will suck, and I know that it will feel personal. All those things aside...it can and will be done.

I had a Mountain Dew earlier today at work. I didn't know it at the time, but that was my last. I have stocked up on water and lightly sweetened tea. There is no pop in the house, so no temptation here. My biggest fight will be at work, where it is easily available in the vending machine. I am one of those that says why buy a bottle of water when it is the same price as the pop. I am also one of those that gets super busy, and often drinks a Mountain Dew to fight off hunger when I am skipping lunch due to a heavy workload. It is also my go-to form of stress release.

I know I struggle, but I have to say my good-byes. So...good-bye guilty pleasure...good-bye addiction...good-bye bad influence. I will miss you, but you are not good for me anymore.
