My goal for next week is to start exercising again. Especially with Christmas coming up. Things are starting to settle down a bit around my house, so that's good. I am having both my lil' ones birthday party this weekend. Hard to believe they will be ONE and TWO!! lol!! Just doesn't seem possible. Gonna try to have healthy stuff to eat, especially with Tyler's new...gluten free, soy free, lactose free...God knows what else "free" diet! LOL! I'm supposed to get his food allergy panel back today and I am keeping my fingers crossed that he isn't allergic to eggs. Guess we shall see. Hope everyone has a great weekend....I'm gonna STAY ON TRACK. Weekends are the devil for me....but I have made up my mind to stay in points!!

Good for you, Tabitha! Hope everything works out for you this weekend. And hopefully you can get back to exercising next week, too. Keep us posted on the food allergy thing. Has he been vomiting with the foods you've been feeding him since you found out? Were there eggs in there?

Hi Lady! I am also going to try to start exercising this week. I have to get a bigger seat for my bicycle. GRRRRR! Let's not go there. The little seat hurts me, so I don't ride as long as I want to. Anyway, with food allergies, any food that you are allergic to can make you throw up. The way that the Dr. explained to me, is that it is the proteins that the body reacts to in an allergic reaction. My son was tested and had severe allergy to eggs, but also food sensitivities to many others. Sensitivities can range from headache, stomachache, hyperactivity, etc. He outgrew his sensitivites (mostly), but never did to the egg allergy. His body will tell him if he has gotten some by accident now by making his tongue itch as soon as he eats something with egg in it. That is a good thing, because he knows right off the bat now, as opposed to when he was very young, we wouldn't know until it was all in his body. Sorry so long, just wanted to clarify that any food allergy can make someone sick, not just eggs.

Hi Tabitha! I am so glad things are calming down. And happy birthday to your two sweethearts. They're so sweet when they're so little. When my older son was little, he was allergic to eggs and milk, and I would go to this bakery that specialized in vegan foods for his birthday cake. They had a tons of desserts that were complete free of all that stuff. And there are probably some great recipes for those types of desserts on the web. I am not much of a cook, but I thought I'd suggest it.

Thanks guys....sorry I wasn't meaning eggs specifically redone750. I just would like to know about those in particular so I know how to make his birthday cake. Yes...there are many symptoms of an allergic reaction, you are very right. Glad your son grew out of most of them. That's great. I'm hoping the lactose intolerance things goes away after his intestines start healing some, but I won't be surprised if it doesn't.

I understand about the birthday cake! We have had all different kinds of "birthday cakes" over the years. What I am saying is that we use different things that he likes as far as desserts that he can eat and call them his birthday cake. One year we had a campout in the backyard and all of his friends came over and spent the night in a tent. We had a "campfire" in our grill and they roasted marshmallows. We actually put a candle in a roasted marshmallow and sang to him. Sometimes you just have to be creative! I wish your son the best (and you too!). I know that things right now are hectic, but they will smoothe out soon. Just remember, we are here for you and will try to help in any way we can. {Hugs}
