I had a 6" sub from Subway yesterday without any cheese or oil, just light mayo. In the past, that would have been unheard of. I am dedicated to logging my food intake on a daily basis, so this has given me new insight into eating out of necessity and not just comfort.

This morning, I ordered a 6" sub without any cheese, oil, or MAYO! I don't know what is coming over me, but I like it!!

good for you! i have a soft spot for subway as well. i like the tuna. i'll have to figure out how many calories, etc are in that. do they have it on their website?

Stashie, we do Subway some times as well. When you're out and just need to eat something, it seems to be one of the better fast food options IMO. I tend to have them LOAD mine with veggies (lots of spinach, bell peppers, cucumbers, etc) and just put vinegar as a dressing. Gnewfry, yes, they have a good nutrition calculator on their site.

i probably like the thing with the most calories since tuna has all that mayo. i fill up on the spinach and cucumbers too. i remember when i was doing weight watchers, i must have looked at their site to figure out how many points it was. i'll go look at it again next time.

Keeping track of your food intake daily is VERY helpful for identifying problem areas. I love mayo (I really just hate dry sandwiches) but the calories...not so good. I noticed that Kraft's Olive oil mayo is less calories so I bought that to put (lightly) on my sandwiches. Also, if you are a fan of flavored mustard, I have found that you can cut some of the fat by subbing mustard for mayo on one or both slices. (plain mustard, yuck...spicy brown or honey mustard, yum)

Thank you all for your support. I truly appreciate it. Gnewfry, Subway does have the tuna sandwich listed on its nutritional facts menu. Vickie 5966, I also like using the 'fresca' option at Taco Bell which takes away the less healthful items. And the food is still very yummy! Lorajeane, I forgot about the Kraft's olive oil mayo. I'll try that. Thanks again :)
