Back to my digital scale. I'm realizing that once I don't drink meal replacement shakes and eat "regular" food, I gain weight. This is disheartening because I can't survive too long without "real" food but I want to lose. My take out stint is dying down (thank God) so hopefully I can start losing again. I don't want to weigh every week like I used to.... maybe every 2 weeks? We'll see....
114,0 kg Bisher verloren: 7,5 kg.    Still to go: 32,4 kg.    Diät befolgt: Recht gut.
Zunahme von 0,8 kg pro Woche

I'm not sure how much you are supposed to be eating for your own personal needs but having taken a look at your daily total, you are below the daily requirements of 1,200. You may not be eating enough to support your body's requirements hence the weight gain when you eliminate the drinking meals. I eat between 1,600 - 1,800 calories a day even though this site says I should eat 1,500.

Thanks for your response Sweetalot. Based on calorie.net I should be eating 1763 to lose 1 lb per week or 1263 to lose 2 lbs per week. So basically that's what I have been trying to do. Also, over the past few weeks I have been gradually reducing my RDI to try and lose more and faster but life had me eating take out for dinner (burgers, fried chicken etc) but that situation has improved so I don't expect to be doing that now. So I think it's because of that why I gained.. I could be wrong. I'm going to monitor it closely and see if there will be any improvement since I'm back at it. Thanks for your input

try eating a lot of your calories in the morning and lunch, and eating significantly less later on in the day. That really works for me. I know everyone is different. But that's when I really drop the pounds. And I don't have to change what I'm eating I also steer clear of carbs after noon (well, I try. It's hard!)

I feel you on that last part. I'm Jamaican, so a lot of the foods I know how to cook, include tonnes of carbs. I work in a call centre too, so I sit most of the day. I will try to eat less by having a shake for dinner (which is really what I was doing when I was losing). Well my journey continues...

I've always heard that when it comes to meals, eat like a King for breakfast, a Prince for lunch, and a Pauper for dinner. This is in keeping with what Amanda is saying. Of course, I do the opposite. I've increased my caloric intake to maintain my weight (which is leaving me feel like I'm over eating), but an intake to give you a slow loss will work better in the long run. Losing lots fast has a short term reward, but it's the long game that's is the goal. Slow and steady is the way to go. You'll get there. There will be speed bumps but you'll get past those.
