Qu33n Nemesis's Notizen, 13 Jul 23

I am new here. I weight 220.4lbs standing at 5'2. I am obese and ashamed. I am disappointed in myself bc I could have done better by myself. I am doing this on my own it seems and it's hard to stay motivated. I buy different things and stuff and it seems to just be in vain. My biggest problem is wanting that instant gratification that I know I am not going to get with this. 30 mins of working out should equal at least 2.5 pounds of weight loss, 5lbs if you sweat 😂. I'm desperate to lose at least 50 lbs. I should never have allowed it to go this far. I need hope and a prayer with this one. 😩😩😞😞

One day at a time. Log every bite that goes into your mouth. It will help you to learn what works and what doesn't. You can do this. Good luck on your journey.

Exactly how I felt. If only self loathing would move the scale instead of making me want to eat my emotions. Jesus loves you.

Sweetheart, i understand as do most of us here, how daunting the start of this journey can see. Give yourself the grace and the patience to get healthier over time. I started my journey at 220 lbs July of 2022 tho i was 227 in January. It came off literally one to two pounds per week. Slow as that is exercise is just a piece of the puzzle. Something like 80% of weight on scale is derived from food and liquids you ingest. Exercise is important because you want to raise your heartrate to help with caloric burn but also want to do weight or strength training to increase muscle mass. Muscles require more energy to fuel than fat, hence you will lose weight more efficiently doing both. What worked for me was to eliminate absolutely all foods in the house, i mean everything, that was a threat to a healthy eating pattern. I logged literally EVERYTHING long before I discovered fatsecret. Shoot for 100+ grams of protein a day. Drink minimum of 64 oz of water daily 100 if you can manage it. Plan your food intake for the next day or several days so you dont have to figure out what to eat when you may be hungry. This community, myself, we are all here to offer help to you. Time flies. Think about how fast this past year went by. One year from now (or sooner) you will be at a very healthy weight. It’s one day at a time. Ive had enough ice cream to last a lifetime so my life can certainly wait one more day before i try it again. Right now, that would trigger me, so ice cream is off the table. However, i have discovered a super healthy protein smoothy that satisfies my ice cream hankering. Win win. 40 grams of protein, one cup of strawberries, one banana and voila. 300 calories instead of 1300. And healthy. For example. Read other folks journals, look at the foods they are preparing. Ask for help. We are all here rooting for you Q.

Q-my mom passed 5 years ago on July 12th. I told her before she passed i would get control of my health so I wouldn’t leave my child at such a young age and yet it took me another 4 years to start the journey. I lost 30 lbs in first couple months she passed because of grief. I just didnt eat. But it came right back on and then some. Last year i used my mom and that conversation to honor her by keeping my word. Your mother will always be with you in your heart and your memories and she would want you to be your healthiest and happiest. Im so sorry for your loss. There is never a time in our lives to be prepared for something like that.

Qu33n, I just posted a a positive self love paragraph on Saranchrisriley's morning weigh in Journal. I ask that you go read it and ponder it, mainly because I hear self-disgust and recrimination tones in your self talk, we all need a boost of self love and care and I don't want to copy and past my positive affirmations on everyone's journal. :) You are making an effort, that should be celebrated. When everything in life is knocking you down, you have to be kind to yourself. When life is kicking you around and you start kicking yourself around too, well it's a rabbit hole with a downward spiral.

Someone on here once posted, "Positive minds yield positive results." 🙂 I guess this post is 4 days old and today, actually, you lost 1.8 lb and are feeling hopeful. What a turnabout ❤

Ikr.. I've been having trouble with posting comments since then, I had to contact support to have it fixed. Here's another one for you that I absolutely love by, "The more you do of what you're doing, the more you get of what you got." You can apply that to absolutely everything on your life.

Hear! Hear! True Dat! and here's another one for you - "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results"

The funniest and most realest quote I've ever heard was " Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience" 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
