i understand this!! My husband loves to eat in the living room but I prefer to eat at the table. Growing up Mediterranean, it is the way!! i hate eating in front of the TV, but we've at least agreed 1x a week as a family movie night. 

Oddly enough, eating meals is one of the only times I don't mind being with others. I find that most people, like my dad and others I know, enjoy talking about themselves nonstop and I like to eat so it works out. I hate business lunches though and in my job we rarely had them. They were disastrous as our cheap employers would serve veggie trays with dip and no protein and that isn't a meal you feed people who do hard physical labor for 10+ hours. I don't like dip and am not someone who likes raw tomatoes, carrot sticks, raw peppers, and celery sticks. They gave me major stomach issues. And I didn't like wasting my lunch time for things like this.

I enjoy eating alone too. I guess because I've been alone for so long. I eat a big salad almost every day. It takes so long to chew everything that I eat it while catching up on the news. That way I don't rush myself.  

I agree! Every time we go to the Japanese restaurant they want to know if we want to go hibachi and I’m like I just don’t understand people that need to be entertained while eating 🤷🏻‍♀️
