You can also do it the opposite way- like if I know I want to go out to dinner and it is going to be a little higher calorie than usual, I'll make sure to have an extra light lunch. Very useful. It doesn't have to be scary- it's actually very empowering! What's scary is how much we all eat without even thinking about what we're putting into our bodies :)
