The last two days at work were pretty tough. Our department (IT) just went through our annual disaster recovery exercise. And, as things in IT tend to do, the exercise was a disaster in and of itself. Basically, we were attempting to recreate our own computer room in an IBM facility, and of course at every step we had issues. What should have been 1-2 hours of work for my team, ended up being a 36-hour Netflix marathon with intermittent smatterings of work. At least the company provided food and coffee. Predictably, I ate awful take-out food, drank far too much coffee, almost no water, and I relapsed into smoking for about 16 hours or so.

Also predictably, I gained some weight from the ordeal, but I think it's just water from all the coffee I had to drink to stay awake.

I'm a little concerned that in the past 5 days, I have basically gotten zero exercise. I feel like that's long enough to form a habit, or at least "lazy inertia", and make me not want to exercise more. I think I've been doing pretty well in the last month or so, and I don't want to stop now. At least if I'm aware of it, I can try to push myself through it.

Well, what's done is done, and all I can do is dig in and push through it. I slept well last night, so I feel OK, and I get to work from home today, which means I can wear pajamas all day. I did some Wii Fit this morning, and I hope to do a little more later. Then, hopefully, kickboxing class tonight.

I hope everyone is doing well.
