Wednesday: I did poorly on my diet yesterday because I snacked late last night. The scale shows no gain or loss this morn so Ill take it ..I start a new job on monday and I found out that the beginning hours will 1:30 to 8 pm, and it will upset my whole routein. different shifts and new workgroup..on call but backfilled with hours from my old position at least until I can bid for another. but I really need to focus better.. worries are creeping in .. I know I can do this..Today starts a new day. Need to be able to roll with the punches and not let unexpected things, foil my carefully planned meals and snacks. or at least be able to manage small upsets better. I dont want to let any thing get in the way of my overall plan ...thats the key..not losing sight of the big picture.... keep plugging along..I am fighting with the mental concept of doing this for the rest of my life..Once I really absorbe this, I feel like the hard part will be over. I feel like I have been handed a disgnosis/verdict of cronically fat and the treatment/punishment is monitoring every calorie in and out for-ever. This is a little hard to swallow...I should just get rid of my scale because a lower weight is not the real prize at the end of this race...there is really not an end..at least not in the next 25+ years (I Hope).
