I am finally down to 168 lb. I remember very well how I first hit 168 as an all time high several years ago. Don't remember when exactly it was, but guess it was 2002 Thanksgiving, based on my spreadsheet. I remember I could not believe my eyes and could not fit into any of my clothes. Now it sounds like a major victory. Then it was a major defeat. That means that I gained these 24 lb over about 10 years, mostly over the last 5 as I made several attempts to lower the weight. Which still proves my theory that I was gaining about 3 lb per year despite all my attempts to fight it. Now I have to find the strength, wisdom and persistence to lose the remaining 14 lb. Then I will decide if I maintain, or try to lose some more.

I will be resetting my weight history today. As much as I would like to see the green on my sticker soon, I find it easier to concentrate on 10 lb increments, than to drag myself through all 38 lb I planned to lose in the beginning. 14 lb left sound like a much more reasonable number to deal with. I will not be distracted by what I already accomplished, I will concentrate on what I still have to accomplish.
