my first day doing this. got really tired of looking in the mirror at that thing staring back. i was always thin nd trim my whole life, never had to work out a day in my life. menopause hit nd i have turned into a depressed pig.. now im tired. always been a go getter.. i really need this to work. so i began with a morning exercise that i found on line followed by brisk walking. felt great after.. hapve a burst of energy that seems to be flowing. my heart is doing all these crazy jumps. my breakfast was not healthy but it was under 300kcals. dancing was my exercisel, come to think of it.. so i guess i dlid exercise. i fractured my foot a few years back , shortly before menopause kicked in.. soo here i go im over 200 friggan pounds. i cant live like this anymore.. any words of encouragement... I really need to hear them.. no matter if it hurts.. here is to getting myself back...

I needed to lose 60 pounds, what works for me is staying in ketosis or having under 20 grams of carbs a day. I eat like a queen and not hungry, lost 21 pounds in 41 days, but this is lifestyle change as well. I can eat out, drink beer and I'm good. Hopefully you like meat, bacon, eggs, all seafood. Look at your diet entry. Check out the carbs. I only count carbs. Period. I go out, get a hamburger, but without the bread. I don't miss it. And if you do go over the 20, get right back on track. AND drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Good luck to you. We're hear to support you

I encourage you to keep doing the exercise. You felt great after! I also encourage you to keep eating less calories than you were eating before as you seem to be doing. It takes patience and it is a long term goal. If you were thin most of your life, you can lose that weight. Unfortunately our body does not tell us to cut our calories when there are changes in our life such as we stop growing or we become less active. I think that it is very normal for us to gain because we don't realise it. Once you lose weight, you will have a lot more energy and you will also be in a better position to know how much you should eat depending on how much you want to weigh. Keep at it, it's a long term goal, be patient if you don't lose at time for a few weeks and you will win the battle!
