I'm a registered nurse with a Ph.D. I was a diabetes educator for drug addicted patients with diabetes but my main specialty since 1974 has been Psychiatry/Addictionology/PTSD. I am both a licensed and certified psychotherapist.

I have been horse crazy since I was a small child and have owned several horses over the years--Quarter horse, Morgan, Saddlebred and Percherons. When I got so heavy I switched to Percherons so I could continue to ride. They are a draft breed, but very athletic. I love working with horses: grooming, training, showing, just hanging out with them, horsing around. I've signed up for online classes at Michigan State University and plan to become a certified horse trainer.

My son is 38 and has a wonderful wife and 2 sons, my only grandchildren. They live in New Mexico and I'm in Illinois, but I visit every so often.
