Totally got sidetracked! We had company in for Jazz Fest, and of course she wanted to eat at all the local restaurants and try all of the local food. Very dangerous in New Orleans and the surrounding area. Scale went up, which I failed to log on here but has finally settled back down. Back to eating healthy and a reasonable expectation to loose 15 pounds by 8/28/2016 when I go on my cruise, if not a little more.

I am now looking at "dieting" as a new way of life- eating healthy always and just increase or decrease the amount of calories consumed based on the desired results. Substitute fruit for ice cream etc and very occasionally allow yourself some cheat days. some people have a hard time with cheat days because they end up on a downward spiral of cheat day after cheat day- it all depends on how committed you are to a new way of eating. You have to make how you eat a part of your life- that way when crazy stuff happens at least you will still eat the same- I know I got diagnosed with Lung Cancer last march and I ate everything in site because my doctors didn't want me to lose weight- obviously I went straight for the carbs, and i gained 30 pounds. I still have stuff happening in my life- scary stuff- but have decided that I am going to be the healthiest me I can be regardless of what is going on in my life. This has just been my experience, and is certainly not the end all be all in dieting advice, but I have noticed from personal experience a "DIET" is only temporary the way most of us use it, and as soon as we hit our goal we go back to eating the same stuff that got us on a "DIET" in the first place. I finally realized that this has to be a new way of life and that as long as I am eating a healthy balanced diet with a limited amount of carbs that I can control my weight not by changing the foods I eat but by adjusting my calorie intake up or down. I still allow myself a cheat day or 2 to eat my forbidden foods lice ice cream or cookies, etc, but I eat them is much smaller amounts and space them out and only allow at most 2 per week.

Nice little drop that I wasn't expecting just yet, but I'll take it. Got to find out what vitamins to take to combat all this muscle soreness. I know after doing chemo for 6 months, and then not moving too much for the 3 months after i finished chemo has turned my muscles to baby muscles and I am trying to make them do adult things, but man I am sore. When I do water aerobics class I can hardly move the next day, and the day after I am still sore. guess I just have to power through.
