Tried very hard to stay under 1500 calories today. pretty sure I did, but I think I missed something for logging my food. I try to weigh or measure everything. Good thoughts for all of you.

So hungry today, and I only ate 2 hours ago, Eggs usually fill me up so I ate 4 of them hoping to knock out the hunger... nope. I think what I will do is make up this HUGE head of cauliflower mashed potatoes. It took me a while to figure what I needed to do to make them taste great, but now I love them.... ( some cream cheese and a bit of roasted garlic )
Hopefully, watching the football games today will keep me out of the kitchen.

So, Black Garlic... the hip, trendy, item on food blogs... I have tried to make this 2x, following 2 different sets of instructions, and I have failed miserably.
So, I saw a bag of two in a grocery store and bought them.... I opened them today, and well, I didn't hate it, but to me it tasted EXACTLY what I imagine pureed raisins would taste like... so next time maybe I puree some raisins, add a tiny bit of garlic powder.... save 3 bucks, and call it a day.
My wife made short ribs for dinner and they smelled awesome.... I love me some short ribs... but I didn't have any. Being pseudo vegetarian ( about 95% ), is hard some days, but I am getting it done for several months now.

Today will be a test. Going to an Italian restaurant. I plan to have a nice big salad, but I just know I won't have self control to avoid at least tasting some of the items I shouldn't... but I do have 1400 calories or so left for the rest of my day.
I have set a new short term goal.... 12 more pounds lost by New Year's Day.... could be rough with the holidays, but that is my goal / plan.

I have been away a long time....
And I put on almost 30 pounds during covid... but 5 months ago I went 95% vegetarian... eating 1 meal a week with meat, maybe 2 if we go to a restaurant in a given week. For the first 4 months, I lost no weight... and then it hit me that I was eating too much of the wrong "white" foods.... sugar, bread, rice......
So I have almost eliminated them, and in the last month or so, I lost 22 of those pounds.... I never thought I could basically be a vegetarian, but I don't mind it at all as long as I get to eat beans. Basically, beans have replaced all the meat I was eating.
