Yesterday I was feeling blah and I slid...big time! Why-oh-why-oh-why did I ever buy that peanut brittle anyway? And since I felt so bad, I didn't make it to the pool for my water aerobics class so no exercise to speak of for the day. Therefore, I'm up today. And I was just starting to come down again too! Oh, well...back on track today!

It's been a while since I've posted anything...here anyway. I'm trying not to be discouraged at the fact that I'm only managed to lose 3 pounds so far. I think (I hope!) it's due to of all the exercising I'm doing - burning up the fat to create lean muscle...which everyone knows weighs more than fat! Anyway, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the pounds will start falling soon at a better rate...this half-a-pound-a-week business is going to take FOREVER! LOL!
I am seeing results elsewhere from all of that exercise though. I'm sleeping better, have more energy and flexibility AND I haven't had to go back to the doctor for a pain shot in my osteoarthritic knee yet! I'm already almost two months past when I normally would have had to get one. Yea!!!! Plus it looks like my blood pressure is lower!
Baby steps...baby steps... :)

Does anyone here have any experience with the Alli program? I was thinking about adding it to my routine, but - without first buying the initial box - I can't seem to find anything but generalities...things I'm pretty much doing now! Before I invest in this, I'd like to know ahead of time what I'm getting into!

Okay...I seem to have substituted granola bars for candy bars. Soon I'll have to hide THEM from myself...or only buy the ones that taste like shredded cardboard...sigh. From now on, I need to stick to one a day...either with my coffee at breakfast, as a snack after major exercise or as my late-night snack. NOI all three! LOL!
With the exception of the snack bars, I've managed to do pretty well when grocery shopping. At the top of every list now, for the first item, I put "NO SNACKS!!!!!" It's been working :) I did spend a few minutes looking (and SMELLING!! mmmmm) all of the chocolate set out for Halloween, but I didn't, didn't, DID NOT buy any! Yea, me...baby steps! This breaks my long-held tradition of stocking up early for trick-or-treaters...and having to restock because we nibbled it all away! In spite of what my husband tells me, I can NOT buy things we don't like for them because if it's something we don't like, I figure it's something they won't like.
With that said, I did manage to lose another pound this week, probably as much because I have stepped up the time I spend on my exercise on the stationary bike and added some weights. Feels good!

Well, another week and no change. Admittedly, I did make some poor choices this week...can anyone say "pizza"...LOL! I REALLY need to find something else to eat when I'm watching college football! In my defense. though, I did do an hour on the stationary bike (first and third quarters) to try to counteract some of the pizza. Fortunately, my bike is right in front of a TV :)
