Day 5 - I had to miss soccer because I got a really bad migraine. It was weird I was sitting watching tv with my daughter and mom and was fine. Got up to go get ready for soccer before I got to my room I got a headache. I took 3 Advil and tried to sleep it off and still make my game. But after my 20 minute nap my headache was more of a migraine. So I took an Gravol and slept almost 12 hours.
Day 6 - feeing better today. Wish I could of got to soccer last night. Hate missing games.

Day 3 and 4 went good. Still on track. Yesterday made a Roast Beef dinner with a new twist. Try thickening the gravy with cauliflower purée - it is carb free and tastes great. Had mash potatoes with only a bit of clarified butter and with roasted vegetables - all with no refined carbs. Tonight's dinner I had another trick, made Cashew Chicken with Spicy Green Beans and Cauliflower Rice - my daughter actual requests this dinner. Again carb free and instead of soya sauce I use coconut soya sauce. Ok so enough about food ;) What can I say I'm a bit of a foody - I just need to make better choices. Follow Whole 30 rules and feeling good. With 4 days in I have noticed I am not bloated. My "fat" clothes with I returned too, over the holidays was getting tight, now are fitting a little loose. My mom said yesterday my face is less puffy. With the Whole 30, I don't weigh in until 30 days. Weighing in day is February 1.
Last year my first month I lost 12.6 lbs in the first month, my mom lost 5 lbs, a friend of mine lost 11 lbs and she had a friend loosing 22 lbs. It really is an amazing plan. Not sure why I strayed, oh right my love for chocolate ;)
Finding it easier this time around, since I know the rules.

Day 2 - Did go well, had to stay busy. My sister and her kids went visit the other side. My mom was sick of cooking for a crowd so I desided to cook. Spent my the day in the kitchen. Ate all the foods I am allowed on Whole 30 (not suppose to calorie count) but looks like I was over in calories. But some of the foods I made are hard to count calories too. Made a sausage bake, with potatoes, red peppers, onions and garlic. Sausage is normally a no no on diets but we found one without sugar (hard to find) so it is ok on Whole 30. Then I baked cookies for my daughter, this was very tempting but I didn't eat any. They made it to the freezer- ready for lunches. Then I started on dinner Roasted Cajan Sweet Potatoes, Almond Crusted Pork Medallions, Almond Crusted Zucchini, Garden Salad with Ice Apple Wine Dressing - add it to the sausage bake - dinner for the crowd back from visiting their other family. My sister and her 3 kids go home today. It'll be nice to have the day to organize ourselves for work and school tomorrow. Their visits always puts a world wind in our house. They normally leave a trail and no food. Groceries is one thing on today's list.

We'll have to say day 1 went fairly well. Stayed away from chocolate my nemesis when I'm trying to lose weight. The fact I stayed home with all the family around and didn't cheat. Since I woke up late I did skip a meal, well lunch was more as a snack. Have to say coconut chips is a great snack - of course everyone here likes them too. So currently out of them.

So didn't get on track last week. Made a deal with my mom to officially start January 1, New Years Resolution!!! Starting the Whole 30 - more information on www.whole30.com
