Independence
Day!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! Greg and I went to see Faith of our Fathers yesterday. Very good movie. Of course we had popcorn. Then last night my blood sugar was only 97! Today we had a cheat day and had pizza at one of our favorite pizza joints. My blood sugar was 124 later, which isn't bad. We used to be able to eat half a medium pizza each, but could only do a quarter now.
Been trying to do some yard work. We have a lot to do. I can only do a little at a time, and I'm sore and was shaking when I came in. Its going to take a bit to get my endurance up. Again I want to do more than I am able. Sigh! Tomorrow is Greg's birthday so make sure to tell him Happy Birthday! I wish I had the time and energy to make him a low carb cake!

Went to a movie today. Again had the small popcorn. Was just enough and when I came home my blood sugar went up only one point since my morning reading. I do like that it doesn't mess up my blood sugar, and doesn't seem to mess up my weight loss either. It does give me a much higher carb count than normal. Popcorn has always been my favorite food. When I had the traditional ileostomy it would block me up and cause pain, but that didn't stop me from eating it! With my BCIR it doesn't bother me at all. Praise God that I can enjoy one of my favorite foods!
I wish the exercise had praise and worship on the list! I list it as slow dancing. I never just stand there and sing, but clap my hand, move my feet raise my arms! Its got to be worth a few good calories! lol

Tonight we bring home our slave err grandson to do some more yardwork. Unfortunately when we left on our trip and for several days after all it did was rain, so all the work he did last time has to be redone! He likes our diet. He thinks the food is good and says he even lost some weight last time. He also likes to go shopping with us cause we have a list and get what we need and leave! lol, if he only knew it wasn't always like that! It just happened we knew what we needed those trips! But on the other hand since we don't get so much junk, our shopping trips are quicker. Darling Husband promises the two of them will get the AC in tonight. I sure hope so. I'm sooooo hot working in the house all day! Have a wonderful day everyone! Oh, made a low carb sugar free desert for our church small group last night. I think it tastes awesome! Lemon lime refrigerator pie. I have some adjusting to do but I hope to share the recipe soon.

Still going down. I like that direction. Blood sugar going down too but not as low yet as it was before the trip.
