Ok, I am feeling much better now. I've lost 7 pounds in 4 days, less than 5 to go to reach my pre-vacation weight after gaining 12. 40 to my goal weight. I want to be at that goal so badly I can hardly stand it. It feels within reach, even though 40 lbs still sounds like a lot. For once, it is not overwhelming to think of the ultimate goal. I used to set small goals for myself, and I still do that somewhat, but since day one, I have been thinking of 160 pounds. I used to stop before reaching the ultimate goal for a number of reasons, and always gained back the weight I lost. Not gonna happen!

I had a lunch meeting yesterday with some people who haven't seen me since last spring. Lots of kudos, it was fun! Since losing weight, I can dress nicer, or at least look better in my nice clothes, I can once again wear heels, and I know that I project more confidence and self-assurance. This is helping me be more effective in my job (educational sales), so not only do I feel better and look better, but I do my job better. And hopefully will make more money to buy more nice clothes!
