I find it easier to do that than to cut calories across the board. I am the type who prefers to go without breakfast anyway, so doing a 24 hour basically means skipping one meal. I did a 36 hour two days ago and it was difficult to remain asleep. I've done 10 days. After the first 3 days, it's easy. (I won't do that again!)

I can't imagine going 10 days without food, as least not intentionally. You're a stronger man than I.

Well I went quite a while on under 800 calories and with my thyroid issues my body pretty much shut down. So, 16:8 (or the occasional 18:6 lol) is all I can handle and works for me. Long-term fasting (more than 24 hours) isn't for everyone. (Add disclaimer here).

msbug, I couldn't agree more. You have to be very healthy in general to go on an extended fast. I know it has worked for some people in the grossly obese category, but they were in a facility under a doctor's care. I enjoy it as a 'head game' of sorts to prove my fortitude.
