I'm so frustrated!!! I've been on Atkins for 6 weeks..4wks induction phase & 2wks in OWL but I've only added in 5grams of carbs total for 2 wks. This is the 3rd week in a row my weight has not changed!! I even started working out every single day this week. What else can I do?! I only have about 3 1/2 wks till I leave for a cruise and I was really hoping to make a little more progress than I already have. I'm just feeling really down right now.

Have you tried going back on induction for a week or two? It may kickstart the loss. Sometimes you lose but don't see it in the scale...maybe your measurements have changed. Are you writing down everything you eat? If I'm reading correctly, you've lost five pounds. Don't take that accomplishment away from yourself. The other thing I'd suggest...you say you're working out, but if it's aerobics, that won't help a lot. It's great for overall health, and will help somewhat, but for real fat loss, strength training will help. It builds muscles, which burn fat, and tones them which makes them smaller. You won't bulk up like a guy and you don't have to buy weights. You can use your own bodyweight. Check out www.collagevideo.com They have workout videos for every level and of every type. And a great forum where you can find support and advice. Just don't get down on yourself. You have a great vacation to look forward to, you've lost weight, you're eating right and you're probably healthier now than you were before you started, even if you don't feel it. Hang in there...you can do it.

cut back in all areas... moderate exercise daily, or every other day, drop back to induction levels til weightloss resumes, and watch your overall percentages and calories. Shoot for 14-1800 Calories, 5-10% carbs, 25-30% protein, 60-70% fats. And don't forget your water, daily! Start tracking your daily food again so we can see a more accurate picture of what you are currently doing. Hang in there!

For me it is the artificial sweeteners - I can't have the Atkins bars or anything - my body thinks it's sugar and freaks out - I stalled for three months last year before I figured it out - and that was after having a doctor call me a liar and say that I must be cheating! The minute I cut out the artificial sweeteners I started to loose again!
