Mom, the problem is that there is no 'correct' or 'right' path. There is only a best guess. Hang in there. I just find it takes time to sort things out, and because it involves our parents, that time span seems intolerable. I think 'raising' aging parents is much more difficult than raising children.

Glen, things are going okay health wise for mom in many ways. When that day comes though, I have the same hope that you do - that I will see her again and we will converse in a way that was simply impossible, even during the best of times, here.

Thank you, Brenda. No matter what you do though, you always feel there should be more done. My sister looks after keeping them stocked with the things that are necessary day to day. She has a hard time understanding how difficult it is to manage their other affairs from so far away. That plus not having the option of seeing them whenever I want is very tough.
