And it's a balmy -28 degrees here this morning. Just about time to go out and scrape the frost off the inside of the windshield. My first round in the store will be to ensure that all three pellet stoves are cranked to the max. I'll check them every 20 minutes thereafter, and of course I'll linger in front of each one as I go.

OK. You got me. I will stop complaining. Actually, today, we have a full blown heat wave of 41 degrees with rain. A week ago today it was 2F with windchill of -10. Needless to say, half of Chicago is nursing a cold.

Wow! That is beyond frigid! It warmed up in the night here and all our snow melted, went from sparkly white to muddy brown. You take care and stay warm.

Nah. It's not that cold yet. Cold is when your eyes tear up in the cold and your eyelashes start freezing together. I think that was -38.
