With only 9 pounds to go, half a pound a week is very normal. Think about it. How much fat do you have on your body. Your fat cells have to squeeze out the fat. If you lose too much more than that, it will be water and muscle. Losing muscle is always a bad thing, because the more muscle you have the more calories you burn at rest, the easier losing weight and maintaining will be. Kicking up your exercise plan can help.
