Does anyone have some good recipes for food to go. I work a 12 hour shift on an ambulance and only have a little cooler to keep food in. Sandwiches and lettuce salads get repedative, if anyone has any ideas I am game to try anything. Gave up burgers and soda for grilled chicken and lemon water, already noticing a diffrence in energy.

Any suggesttion welcome

Nuts, Whole Wheat Pita Bread, Turkey, Triscuits, Also, i love this recipe....I love it so much i have to watch how much i eat of it or i'll eat it all...but i get the organic chips from Lays also i eat it in wrap with turkey taco meat...Fiesta Black Bean Salad 2 cups corn (canned, drained or frozen and thawed) ½ purple onion, diced 1 red bell pepper, diced 2 15- oz. cans black beans, rinsed and drained 3 tsp. chili powder 2 tbsp. olive oil ¼ tbsp. garlic powder 1/8 tbsp. salt 2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar 2 tbsp. lemon juice ½ cup fresh minced cilantro Black pepper to taste Gently toss together corn, onion, red pepper and beans. Stir in chili powder and allow sitting at room temperature. Meanwhile, whisk together olive oil, garlic, salt, and vinegar and lemon juice. Pour this dressing over vegetables. Stir in cilantro, and season with black pepper if desired. Chill for 2 hours before serving. I hope you like it. I've been on this diet since Nov. and i have lost 30 pds. I'll never do any other diet again. Oh...also, i drink smoothies alot, strawberries, blueberries, flax seed oil, lil' green tea, (for the antioxidants) and Krystal Light Pink Lemonade. I love it. My husband was a EMT and he sometimes was around base for lunch, I don't know how it is where you live but if you had a freezer to keep stuff on hand maybe you might be able to have those things. Just a thought. I hope some of this helps, I'm sorry its so long. Sherry

I hit a barrier in my eating at hoem that was similar to your problem of the same food over and over....well I realized that it was not the food it was me having withdrawal for the old stuff and my body fighting me to eat bad food so I just did not take the time to make good food and give myself a variety....once I took the time and made these foods...I could eat everything.....think tupperware.....think left overs .....cook in bulk....divide large meals at home into several meals....to re-heat food.....you have an over with you....find a container your comfortable with made of metal...or wrap your food very well in foil and use the engine to heat your food.....not cook just re-heat....take to long to cook....but a chicken breast....turkey......anything really....just don't put any plastic around the food or it will melt....10 minutes on top of a manifold ...will heat it real good...instant hot meal....
