Day 9: I haven't taken my weekly measurements yet. Was gonna do that yesterday, but I forgot. I'll do it tonight. Can't do it now cause I just ate. :) (I know, excuses)

I'm sure they'll be good, though. I've lost almost 10lbs in the first week.

I discovered Hebrew National Hot Dogs yesterday! All beef, no fillers. A low carb hot dog... yummy! Most hot dogs have fillers that contain carbs, so ya gotta watch the label. I'm trying to check the label and not buy anything that has even 1g of sugar in it unless it's listed as OK in the new Atkins book.

My birthday is on the 4th this month. Any ideas on a low carb treat I can give myself to celebrate?

Also, anyone have any thoughts on a "high carb" treat every 10 lbs of weight loss? I was thinking of giving myself a cheat treat for every 10 lbs lost. I have a hundred lbs to lose, so I think that would keep me motivated. Maybe 1 scoop of ice cream or a small piece of cake to celebrate 10lbs. Would that totally ruin my diet? I figure at the worst I'd have to go back to induction for a week, which isn't that bad.

Wow, I just can't get into entering info on my day off. I usually get on this site before and after work, so I had put myself on a schedule. But when I had two days off, I had "other" things to do, which did involve a lot of computer time, just no FatSecret time. LOL

Yesterday, I found a restaurant in downtown Seattle that has a rib/chicken combo plate with sauteed green beans. I got the meat without the BBQ sauce which made it a little plain, but the meat was grilled, so it wasn't too bad. I don't have a grill at home, so its all frying, broiling and baking my meats at home.

Anyway, I went grocery shopping today. It was the first time I've every gone grocery shopping two weeks in a row. I used to go just every payday. Now I have to budget so I can shop twice a pay period. I got more stuff this time than last, so hopefully, I won't run out of food again like I did last week. I also got a better selection of veggies. Hopefully, week 2 on Atkins will be just as awesome as week one!

Didn't enter food for yesterday. I didn't cheat. Just got too lazy to enter the food. Funny, how that happens on my day off when I really have plenty of time to enter the food. :)

No bowel movement yesterday either. I did have a small one this morning. Where is all that food I've been eating going? If it's staying in my body, if I'm constipated, how am I losing weight?

Will take me measurements again tomorrow to get the real deal on whether I've shrunk or not. Almost lost 10 lbs, so far. One WEEK! Love it. I know it won't last forever, but it's good to see 2 years worth of weight gain gone in 6 days. :)

I'm going out today to see a movie and stuff. I'm going to experiment with eating out. I may have to break down and eat a real salad with "YUCK!" lettuce. No one has spinach salads anymore after that salmonella scare a few years ago. Sad, really.

Wish me luck on finding Atkins food on the go in a "healthy" eating town like Seattle.
