Today begins Lent and I am going to lean into this spiritual practice to jump start my weight loss journey. God is always here for me...I am asking Him to get me through this journey. May He bless me with his strength, His peace, so that I can stay clear from the "habits" that always destroy my attempts to lose this excess weight. I release my fears and lean on you God. Amen.

I almost didn't bother but holding myself accountable. I will do better NOT to binge when I stress. It's been a while since I binge over emotional discomfort. I do not like the way it makes me feel about myself-shame and helplessness. And of course, gaining isn't my happy place.

I have not been following my plan as I had on week one. I really need to become more disciplined and keep my eye on the end game- which is a healthier body that keeps me enjoying a more active lifestyle.

I had a few bumps over the weekend, but I do not want to fall back into the old familiar patterns of just throwing in the towel because it wasn't "perfect." That hasn't gotten me anywhere but back to another "Monday" attempt. I want to keep going. Focusing on at least one thing daily that supports my goal to be a healthier conscious person and to gradually transition into more movement. So even though I had those bumps (ate more out of stress and ate larger portions), I weighed in because I have to hold myself accountable. No more excuses. I lost 1.2 pounds. I will take that!
