Only 200 gr over the week. Disappointing as I was 400 gr lower than that earlier in the week, but this is PMT week so I guess it's not too bad.
Fast day today; this is really becoming a routine I think I can stick with - but is it doing any good? Determined to complete my self-imposed three month trial and then evaluate.
Edit - I'm pretty annoyed with myself! Exchanged the granola in my breakfast bowl for rolled oats this morning, thinking it would be fewer calories and leave me a few more for my evening meal, but it's MORE calories! I think I'll be up to 600 calories on this fast day. I guess it won't be too big a deal as I'm sure the recommended limit of 500 for women and 600 for men on a fast day is probably pretty arbitrary and I will still have 'starved' my body for two lengthy periods of time. We'll see.

Back down to 57 kg this morning and weekly weigh-in day tomorrow. My weigh in is midweek at the moment because the Lent challenge (with weigh-in) started on a Wednesday (obviously, it's Lent! - Although I was watching a quiz show last night where a white, middle-aged English man didn't know which major Christian festival followed Lent :( )
The fast day went well mentally yesterday and I stuck to it, although I went to bed hungry and dreaming of breakfast this morning!
That's the thing though - one day twice a week is mentally quite easy as you know you can eat whatever you want the next day. As a healthy and fairly mindful eater anyway, I don't worry that I'll binge; I know I won't.
Sitting here this morning enjoying my super-healthy breakfast bowl and coffee - off to work in about half an hour.

As I expected, 56.9 was a temporary drop following a fast day and both yesterday and today I've weighed in at 57.5, last week's weekly weigh-in weight. I'm quite happy with that, because although I am still keeping an eye on my calories, I am also eating pretty much what I want on non-fast days. Consequently some days I come in under RDi and sometimes over. However, although we're only just ending week 2 of this eating plan, I think I'm beginning to see a pattern which if it's sustained will show me a drop on the scales at my next weekly weigh-in in 3 days.
Let's hope I'm right!
Exercise yesterday was a long walk and loads of strenuous housework. I springcleaned the living room - windows, curtains, balcony, moved furniture around and turned out cupboards etc. Took me the whole day and I still have to finish off this morning!
